    MUSCULOSKELETAL THERAPY (MST)

Within the body therapy health industry you either have practitioners who work mainly on muscles or practitioners who target the skeletal system. MST on the other hand has integrated all of the major components of body mechanics together into a more wholistic therapy. In practice the musculoskeletal therapist would assess the bones, joints and muscules to work out the mechanical problems. The treatment is directed at the cause which is normally within the soft tissue. Then re-assessment of all of the mechanical components is made to ensure that the treatment has been effective.

The MST uses a wide range of techniques appropriate to the problem encountered. These may include cross fibre, deep tissue, massage, stretching and trigger point holding.
